Laughing Llama keeps this clear up front so there are no surprises on event day. These are not meant to feel intimidating. They are simply the conditions that help the work stay safe, polished, and guest-friendly.
Face painting setup
Mel uses a 6-foot table, director's chair, step stool, and can bring a 10x10 tent if needed.
Outdoor conditions
Outdoor events require shade, weather accommodations, adequate lighting, and safe working conditions.
Guest safety
Paint is not applied over irritated skin, open wounds, or visibly sick guests. Clean brushes and sponges are part of standard sanitation practices.
Under age 2 note
Face painting is not recommended for children under age 2. If it is still requested, it is fully at the parent or guardian's discretion, with Laughing Llama assuming no responsibility or liability.

Face Painting
$100 per hour with a 2-hour minimum, plus a $50 travel & insurance fee.
Tarot Experiences
Available for event booths, mini readings, private gatherings, markets, and one-on-one sessions.
Laughter Yoga
Usually offered in 30 to 60 minute sessions, with travel and insurance considerations based on the event.

Does sending an inquiry secure the date?
No. An inquiry starts the conversation, but the date is only secured after the agreement is signed and the required deposit or payment is completed.
How are deposits handled?
A 50% deposit is required to reserve the booking date. Deposit payments are completed through invoice.
What is the cancellation policy?
Deposits are refundable with at least 2 weeks notice before the event. Within 2 weeks of the event date, deposits become non-refundable.
Can insurance documentation be provided?
Yes. Laughing Llama is fully insured and can provide documentation when a venue, school, festival, or host organization asks for it.
